My wine career started with the Soos Istvan School of Winemakers in Budafok. At that time, I didn’t know that the years I would spend in this famous school would completely define my life.
I tried my hand as a tour guide and cellar master at the House of Hungarian Wines. I also worked in a wine shop and then spent 10 wonderful years as head sommelier in fine dining restaurants. The Fisherman’s Bastion Restaurant in Buda was the first, followed by the Baraka Restaurant in the city center. Both restaurants are famous for their excellent quality and food pairings. It brought me happiness that during this time I managed to combine the loved specialty of our country with many foreign guests whose reactions and appreciative words always warmed my heart. The culmination of my work was in Baraka and I am proud that the restaurant has been awarded a Prestige Award for its wine selection.
I have been invited to many events, family dinners, gatherings of friends to organize wine tasting programs or just help to make a suggestion of wine selections.
I am proud to have been elected as a member to the Chevaliers Torley Champagne Order, and one year later, also to the Promontorium Wine Knight Order in Budafok. It means a lot to me that as a resident of Budafok, I am also counted on to present the excellent wines of the Budapest Wine District.
I live in Budafok, the Budapest Wine District, the birthplace of Hungarian champagne production, where there has been a flourishing wine culture for over 150 years. It was once the wine center of Historical Hungary and continues to include excellent wineries with many interesting sights and attractions.
I am fortunate to have always been able to work with the best professionals and have been able to learn from and continue to learn from the best in the industry.
Thank you so far for the love and positive feedback from my guests, the Hungarian winemakers, and support from the industry!
